For Shore Games is a small game studio on the Jersey Shore. This notice covers forshoregames.com and the games at forshoregames.com/play/.

Tester Sign-Ups

When you sign up to be a tester, we keep:

We use this only to pick testers, send tester keys, and email you about the test. We don't sell it, rent it or share it with advertisers. Testers must be 13 or older.

Emails

We send a few emails about the test: a confirmation when you sign up, your tester key, a tip sheet after you first play, up to two reminders if you haven't used your key yet, a check-in a week after you start, and one note if you haven't played in a while. Each reminder has a No more reminders link that stops them. You'll still get your key and replies to anything you send us.

Tester Keys and Playing

When you enter a tester key, the game stores a sign-in cookie and a random device ID in your browser so you stay signed in. We keep which devices use each key and when they were last used, so we can limit how many devices share one key. Games save your settings and progress in your browser.

Play Activity and Feedback

To see what works during the test, the games record each play session against your key: which game, when, how long you actually played, how smoothly it ran (frame rate), any errors on the page, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer, and its operating system) and the country. If you answer the short questions after playing, we keep your rating and comment. We don't record IP addresses or browser identification strings.

Playing Online

In the online games, other players in the same game can see your player while you're connected.

Hosting

The site and games run on Cloudflare, which processes connection details such as IP addresses to deliver the site and stop abuse.

Removing Your Information

To be taken off the tester list or have your sign-up deleted, reply to any email we've sent you and we'll remove it.
